H1-B to H4 and back to H1-B with I-140 approved

Hi,

I am currently in my H1-B extension period which ends in Feb 2017. I would like to take a couple of years of break starting sometime in 2016 (in my 5th year of H1-B), and study in H4 visa (my spouse has H1-B and has a Perm application going) and get back to work after the break. I have my I-140 approved with my current employer. When I get back to work after the break in H4, will I be able to continue with my H1-B, and extend it further using my current I-140?
