Hello,
I have a very specific situation.
My H1B expires at the beginning of 2017. Green Card application got approved I-140 and is waiting for priority date, which is likely in 2 years.
I'm considering switching job to another company, likely a different job function.
Questions:
1) Is there enough time to re-apply for H1B
2) If I re-apply for green card (due to significantly different job), will I get to keep my priority date?
3) Roughly how long does the whole process take, with and without audit?
I think I'm stuck in a place where it's risky to switch career, but waiting for another 2 years to get green card and then switch career seems to bear a lot of opportunity cost too.
Appreciate any help and advice.
