I have attended interview at US Consulate@Chennai on nov 6, they said that they would contact me after administrative processing.
1Q)What is Administrative Processing?
2Q)How long will it take?
3Q)What are the chances of getting VISA?

Hey hi sarvani, the same thing happened with me although i am from a different visa category,I went for my visa on 12 dec and i was also told that my application requires visa processing.I guess they wanna check ur background info or something.I am only speculating but i guess that after the processing people get a visa for a longer duration.
Anyways i checked with the website of the State Department and they say that the processing takes around 30 days thats including holidays, but i guess it takes more time in some cases.If ur papers are in order and ur background check is fine i guess u will get a visa till then keep ur fingers crossed.
