H1 b picked in lottery, want to apply for F1 Visa

Hi All,
I had earlier given my GRE and Toefl.
My employer said he would be able to process h1b and applied for h1b.
and it was picked up in the lottery.

Now my employer is not sure about client and its plans.

I want to go ahead with my f1 plan.
Would the h1b petition affect my f1 visa.

Should i withdraw my petition?

Please advice.

I dont think there is any reason to withdraw H1 petition. F1 visa would not affect H1 petition.
