Hi Guys,
I came to US from Firm A in India through their US subsidiary. I have now received an offer from firm B which is a renowned firm in US. They have initiated my H1B transfer. I have asked for 2 weeks notice period when the H1B transfer is complete. When I inform my parent company (Firm A) that I am resigning and the joining date on Firm B is a week later(H1B transfer completed), will Firm A be able to lay me off so that I have to leave the country?
