  • H1B Amendment

    Hello,

I moved from Client A(State X) to Client B(State Y) in January 2015. Now, my employer said that I have to apply for the H1B Amendment. My H1B expires in September 2016.
I am in a dilemma if I have to apply just for the H1B Amendment or [H1B Amendment+ Extension].
I know about the general rule that the H1B extensions can be filed 6 months before the expiration date.

Please help me in this issue.
    Thanks.

With H1B expiring in just another 3 months, you should ask your employer to file the H1B extension. LCA should be filed for the new work location.
Not a legal advice. Use of this information is strictly at your own risk.

My H1B is expiring in September of 2016. I still have almost 15 months.

In that case, you just need to file a H1B amendment.
