Renewed Passport after paying interview fees
Hello all,
i currently paid the interview fees, and then renewed my passport, however in the cgifederal website i cannot change my passport number to the new one, so i sent them scanned copies of my new/old passports as requested by the support team, then they said they won't be able to update the passport number since i have already paid, however they will escalate my case to the embassy to decide if they can update it for me.
has any one been in the same situation? i am really worried. i haven't scheduled an interview yet, and waiting for this issue to be solved...
do you think i can schedule an interview even if my interview is scheduled using the old passport number, and just bring the old cancelled passport along with me to the interview?, note: i have resubmitted the ds160 form with the new info already, and updated the ds reference number in the cgifederal profile.
