Hi,

My passport validity ends on 2016 and visa will be expiring on Oct 2015. I got the visa for 3 years and never traveled to US. I have applied for visa extension now. Will i get the extension for 3 years or only till my passport validity.

Where have you applied for visa extension? At a US embassy outside US?

If approved, visa validity should match your I797. Check the validity date of your I797.
