H1 transfer

Hi Friends,

I am currently on L1B with employer A.

Employer B applied for new H1B in 2015 and i made it through lottery. Now as per my understanding effective 1st October 2015 my L1B will convert to H1b (COS).

in the interim I have received a better job opportunity from employer C. Can i join employer C directly on the new H1B from 1st October 2015 or do i have to join employer B work with them for couple of months and then join employer C.

You cannot join employer C until they file a transfer using employer B's petition. That will take 2-3 months by normal process and 15 days by premium. To avoid unnecessary complications, the transfer should be filed after Oct 1st.
