approved H1B petition on old passport & Name bifurcation in new passport

Hi ,

I have a H1B petition approved on old passport which has my entire name under Given NAme & surname Blank.
However I renewed my passport recently and also opted for name bifurcation to move my last name to surname.
I am yet to schedule Visa interview and go for stamping.
Kindly advise if my old H1B petition needs any amendment for that ?

Old passport :
Given name : abcd xxx
surname :

H1B petition filed same as old passport

New passport :
Given name :abcd
surname : xxx

Neither an amended nor a new petition is required to be filed if the candidate merely changes her/his name, provided all other the terms and conditions of the alien's employment remain the same. The petitioner, however, has the obligation to notify the USCIS of the new name when they file for an extension of the H1B Petition. Carry all the documents for name change when you attend the visa interview.
