Query on H1 transfer documents

Hi all , I have a query on H1 extension documents . My current employer is filing an extension of my H1 and requested for previous I797 approval notices . Before joining the current employer , I had 1 H1 transfer approved with another organization but due to unavoidable reasons I could not join that organization , so technically H1 transfer was approved but i did not start work with that organization . So that organization did not share any I797 with me for that approval .So for my current H1 Extension , Would I need to discuss with that organization and get the I797 for that approval although ?

It is good to have a copy of all your H1B approval notices because USCIS expects them while filing new petitions. But if you cannot provide one, then it is okay. Just let the current employer's attorney know about the situation and they will know how to handle it. If you can try and get it, then it is good.
