  • H1B extension

    Hi,

My H1B is expiring in Oct 2015 and my employer already file H1B extension. In USCIS site my case is showing "Case was received" on 30 April 2015. I have following questions:
    1. How much time it will take to move to next step (like approved, RFE etc)
    2. Can I still change the company in this stage?

    1. How much time it will take to move to next step (like approved, RFE etc)
    >>> 2-3 months by normal process and 15 days by premium.

    2. Can I still change the company in this stage?
    >>> If your current I-94 is still valid, then YES.

With recent backlog and added workload due to H4 EAD, I would say the wait time ranges from 3-6 Months

This is my opinion not legal advice.

If it is already past 90 days, then your company attorney can contact USCIS to discuss the progress of your case.
