My country is designated for TPS for 18 months. Currently I’m on H4 status and I looked at the requirements for TPS and find out I do qualify. If I understand correctly from USCIS web site, if the person is in status (H1, H4, F1 e.t.c) and apply for TPS and granted. After, TPS expiration he/she will come back to the same status, if the previous status has not expired or violated. Is that correct? For me, if my spouse is maintaining his/her h1b status during that period.
And also, if I leave US with advance parole and go for an interview for H4 visa, while on TPS; will there be a problem? The reason to have advance parole is, just in case if my H4 visa application is denied. And let say I enter in H4 visa, what will happen to the TPS? Your guidance will be very helpful!
