H1B Amendment for relocation before April 9th, 2015

Hi,

My visa stamping is expired and currently on H1B extension. I have relocated to client B from Client A (which is on extension petition) on March 30th, 2015.

H1B Amendment has been filed on regular mode on May 28th, 2015 and waiting for it.

Now I am planning for a vacation to India on September 1st week and get visa stamping.

My company saying that due to the new update on amendment process, I don't need to wait for amendment approval since I have relocated before April 9th, 2015 and can go for stamping in India with H1B Extension approval.

Can someone please clarify this.

It is not advisable to appear for the H1B visa stamping until the amendment gets approved. It is possible that the VO issues you a 221g and ask you to wait until the amendment gets approved so that he/she can issue you the visa.
