  • H1B Renewal

    Hello,

I had H1B Visa which was valid from 15 DEC 2010 to 13 APR 2012 ( in this duration i stayed in US for around 1 year and came back), My employer again renew it and then it was valid from JULY 2012 to JAN 2015 ( In this duration i stayed in US for 9 months), I am now in INDIA but with different employer. Can I renew my VISA with different employer? Also I don't have original i 797 as i gave it to my previous employer as per their organization policy. Also i don't have any I 94 proof.

    Thanks,
    Saurabh.

Yes, you can transfer the H1B petition to a new employer. A copy of the H1B approval notice is enough to file the transfer. If you don't have a copy of the I-94s, it is okay. But don't you think it is an important document to keep a copy for your records?
