How to caluculate H1B1 6 years cap?

Hi,

I came here to USA on H1B1 in Feb ' 2001.
I got changed to F1 visa status in Jan 2002. I am on F1 and I went full time school till Aug 2003. But I did not get F1 Visa stamp on my passport.
Agian I got changed to H1B1 visa status in Sep 2003 for 3 years period. And I got my H1B1 Visa stamp for that new H1B1.

Now here my question that period F1 period Jan 2002 - to - Sep 2003 was counted into my H1B1 6 years cap or not?

If you have any idea please suggest me.
