H4 to H1 conversion time

Hi,
I am currently on my H4. I have a H1. I appeared for an interview and the offer is almost finalized. I want to know the timeframe with in which i should be able to start work and the process i have to follow. I am with the understanding that the client would want me on board in a maximum of 2 weeks. You cannot work when you are in H4. The employer will need to file a COS from H4 to H1B and that should get approved for you to begin working. It will take anywhere between 5-10 days to get the LCA approved. COS to H1B can be filed only after getting the LCA. It will take 2-5 months to get a decision on the COS if filed through normal process and 15 days by premium.
