Changing Employer After I140 approval

Hi,

I have current H1B visa till Jun/2016 and I am on my 8th year with my H1Bvisa. My I140 got approved on Sep/2015. Can I change my Employer Now ? If I change my my job, will get H1B extn with new employer till Jun/2016 or for another 3 years. I have I140 receipt number and dont have approval copy.

Appreciate any information on this.

When you change jobs after receiving the i140 approval, all you get is the ability to use the current i140's approval priority date when your new employer applies for another i140 approval. So, yes, you can change your employer. Not sure for how long your new H1B will be valid. Employers usually give a copy of the approval. You should have access to it.
