Travel during H1 filing

Hello,

I am currently working on OPT and my employer would file my H1 for start dare of oct 2005.Can I travel out of USA after filing my H1 in april.

A reply would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Safest to travel out after approval of H1B, i.e if you will still remain in legal status till then. Otherwise travel before your present status expires and get a H1B visa to come back.
