Not required as long as you have a valid visa. Though its safe to have it especially if you want to be absolutely sure that you get the I-94 as per latest employer's petition.Originally posted by Uniquegirl View Post

The only issue I have observed is that some officers will issue you an I-94 only till visa expiry and not till the new employer's petition expiry.
