I-94 question: Do I require a new I-94 after H1 petition has been renewed.

I entered US on 7th September 2015 on a h1 visa that expires on 4th Nov 2015. My I-94 shows the same date. My employer has filed for new H1 petition which is still pending.
Do I get a new I-94 from POE officer after I get the new petition? or the I-94 on the I-29 petition is enough? Please advise ?

Once your H1B extension is approved, the approved I-797 will come with a new I-94 attached to it.
