L1B to H1B COS, RFE beyond 1st Oct

Is there any grace period when your H1B petition with COS gets approved after 1st October because of RFE,
or is the COS effective immediately from the day of approval.

COS is effective immediately from the date of approval. Your employment with the L1 employer post the H1B effective date is illegal.
