Is Marriage certificate Required for H1B, H4 visa interview?

Hello Members,

I am going for H1B, H4 visa interview within a month in Hyderabad. I dont have Marriage certificate but names are endorsed in Passports. Is it mandatory? Can somebody post regarding this ?

Yes it is a mandatory document.

You only need to produce it if the officer specifically asks for it. But they also sometimes accept secondary evidence such as wedding invitation, photo album etc.
