Laid off on H1b.

Hello All,

I graduated last year and got my H1b this year from Oct 1 2015 to 2018. I got laid off on OCtober 5th and my severance package is going to come on October 30th. How many days do I have to search for a new job. Any replies in this regard will be appreciated.

You need find a job before the end date on your last pay check. Post that, you will go out of status on H1B and a transfer is not possible when you do not have pay slips.
