How did you book the appointment without submitting DS160? You won't be able to schedule an appointment until you complete DS160 and submit it.

We can schedule appointment as soon as you get DS 160 number. For getting DS 160 number , we just need to provide few details ( No need to complete the form ).

I believe the USTravelDocs site states that you need to have submitted the DS160 prior to the interview. So long as your do that, you should be fine, I would imagine.
