Changing jobs with H1B within same company

Hello -

I am currently in a company that has been sponsoring my H1B for 4 years now. I am on my second three year term and want to move job titles from an Analyst to a Process Manager. Can this be done with a simple amendment? Please note that the two job families are different.

I plan to initiate the amendment once I return from India. I am eligible for the dropbox process for renewal visa stamping so I figured I'd initiate the amendment after that. Will I have any problems while getting stamping done?

No issues, you can do that as long as your role/designation requires a person with specialty occupation.
