4 Years H1B Extension

I have a friend for is undergoing 4 year H1B Extension. Has this been done before? Basically what happened to her is that H1B extension was filed well before end of first cycle (3 years). Hence the extension sought will be for four years. Will there be problems to her because of this?

Usually USCIS approves H1B extensions only for a max of 3 years. But if your friend got an extension for 4 years and if her I-94 reflects that, then she is good. This could be a mistake on USCIS part. You have to go with whatever USCIS approved. Technically there is no fault on her part or the employer. So it is good.
