H1 quit - stay period

Hi,

Could anyone advise what is the longest time that I can legally stay once I quit my sponsored company? I am currently in H1 status and I would like to quit from my current company and do a tour trip at US before I go back to my home country.

Technically 0 Days are allowed. If you quit and are not going to get paid , you are not maintaining H1 status and should leave immediately.
