Came to Delhi to renew my H1b visa. One year left out of 6. Unfortunately, I was arrested last year on DV charges, fingerprinted and then released. The case was tossed within few months and was dismissed. The interview lasted just a minute or so and VO wanted to see court docs since my arrest might have popped up. He took my PPT, I-797 & certified version of Court doc and gave me Administrative Processing. There were no slips given. Has anyone gone through a similar experience ? Any idea of the timeline, few days, few weeks, few months ? Will this haunt me forever i.e. will I get AP every time I come for renewal ?
