any problem if I have only duplicate degree certificate?

Hi,
I lot my degree certificate long time back and I have duplicate certificate. Will there be any problem while attending personal appearance for h1b?.

Also, What should I answser If my employer did not send the project schedule(when the project starts, completes etc?.)

Original certificates and also the project details are a must for H1B esp.. if you are going to the US Consulate at Chennai.
