Wrong name in degree certificate

Hello,
I am applying for H1 visa (currently on H4) and one of the document needed is Bachelors degree certificate. Unfortunately, my name has been printed wrong on my degree 'Samita instead of Smita.' Will it create any problems? Has anyone faced this before. Will getting a notary certificate be sufficient/needed?

If the problem only with Bachelors degree certificate, Notary will help you out..Explain same to visa section officer..
