Hi All,

I have an H1B visa which expired last month (after 3 years). Now as per my understanding, I do not need to go in for the H1B lottery system once again. Can I can apply directly for amendment immediately (I have changed my company) and how long does the process take? Can I do it privately (without going through my present company) and if yes, how much is the cost?

Hi Raghvi,

The start and end dates on original I797B is 10/01/2013 to 08/31/2015. Out of the 6 years of H1, I have used only 1 year of H1B in 2014.
