Can i apply for H1B with a TPS EAD ?

I am currently a F1 Student, who has also been granted the TPS EAD. My initial plan was to be in college, apply for CPT and then accordingly try to the H1B visa lottery. However now my school states that there is no need for CPT, as i already have the TPS EAD.

My only concern with this is that do i need to have a CPT to try for the H1B lottery, or will the TPS EAD suffice ?? Could someone kindly guide me. Thanks.

You don;t need a CPT or OPT to apply for H1B. As long as your presence in U.S is legal and if your stay in U.S is authorized until August 31st 2016, any employer can file a COS to H1B on April 1st 2016 on your behalf.
