H1B Validity period if a person is out of country for more than one year

Hi All,

I stayed from 11-Nov-2008 to 30-Apr-2010 in my first visit during my H1B. Then I was out of country for more than 2 years.
I came back on 21-Oct-2012 and staying till now. Will my h1b period will be reset 6 years since I was out of country for more than a year?

Did you use the old petition or filed a new one in 2012?

In that case your clock was not reset.
