  • Need Advice on H1B Visa

    Hi All,

I have a sitiuation where I need to make my right decision.
My dream is to settle in US but my application was not picked up in lottery last year.
So I applied to Australia visa in June 2015 and Currently my Australia PR is under process and I will get Aus PR by April end.
If I get my PR by April, I will be travelling in May.
So will it sound good if I apply for H1B visa as well from India. By God's grace if my petition is approved, Can I take the visa interview from US consulate in Australia.
To how much extent this decision is good.

    Thanks,
    Sreelatha.

Your first time H1B stamping should be from your home country. But by the time your H1B petition is approved, if you live in Australia, then you can attend the visa interview there. It might take a bit longer sometimes since it is your first time H1B stamping. But that is okay since you live there.
