First name and Last name are interchanged in passport and Visa

Hi All,

Please help me how to proceed for this problem.

Recently i did my passport renewal and unfortunately they made my first name as last name and last name as my first name.I did not check this and applied for H4 and in visa also it is same as passport.I am planning to travel to US in April.

Is it OK if i apply for first name and last name correction in passport now or i should travel with the same passport.Post your suggestions/experiences.

How could you overlook such basic thing? Better get both passport and visa corrected.
