I am planning to get married in April 30 2016 and was planning to submit DS 160 and book a visa interview appointment date (May 1st week 2016) in advance. Is it too soon to submit the application?
Since the interview date will be booked in advance, I am not sure about few questions asked in DS 160. Would highly appreciated if you can help me? I am aware of marriage certificate requirement, it should be in our hand before interview.
Queries:
Name: Passport name or name after marriage?
Marital Status: Single / Married?
Home Address: My Indian address or her parent address??
Principal Applicant: Yes or NO?
Intended Length of Stay in U.S.: What needs to entered here? My current H1B period?
Name of Person Paying for Your Trip: Self or my name?
Relationship to You: Husband?
Primary Occupation: She will be resigning her job in March. So, Working or resigned?
Is it safe if I submit DS160 form and book the date and mention my name in Did anyone assist you in filling out this application? question?
Last question: I am also planning to get my H1B stamping (most probably via dropbox service). Will it be fine if I get my stamping before my marriage and ask my would-be to go for H4 visa interview after wedding?
