Yes it is true getting H1B through lottery process. Many IT companies are providing the opportunities for employees to place in abroad countries

I would not bet on that. The lottery process is closely guarded process. If your job requires Masters qualification and you meet the same, then you get two chances at the lottery. Once for the 20K Master's pool and again, if not selected in that pool, as part of the 65K general pool.
