Less than 6 months valid visa

Hi ,
I am on a Work Visa (H1B) which is going to expire in July2016. I heardabout a rule that if I have less than 6 months of Visa I can not enter USA.
though not sure about this rule. In that case if I Plan to go to Bahamas,
can I safely come back to USA?

There is no such rule. You can travel as long as you have visa status.
