H1-B Amendment in Process - Travel to india - Having valid I797 of old client

My Current visa Stamping has expired on Dec-2014.
However My H1-B approval notice (I-797) is valid till June-2017.
But in Jan-2016 , I relocated to a new client location and a new case have been logged for H1-B amendment. Receipt notice of amendment have been received but awaiting approval Notice.

Please advise... Can I travel to india now or I need to wait for amendment approval. ?

I would suggest you wait for approval otherwise at the POE you will have to answer to question about working for a client at a location for which USCIS has still not approved you to work.

My Company's Immigration team told that I can travel as I still have the valid I-797 (old client).
