Hello,
I am currently a student and have received an offer from company X. They want me to join by June 2016 (I will be graduating in May and should have my OPT approved by mid-May). Company X wants to file a H1B for me on April 1st. Please note I have not yet utilized my OPT period. I have the complete 12 months + STEM extension remaining with me.
I am sure company Y will give me an offer soon. I have not yet received a formal offer which is the main cause of confusion.
Now can I change to Company Y even if Company X has filed for my H1B. I will start working with Company Y on my OPT and will apply for a fresh H1b next year. Can company X create problems with my OPT work authorization. What should I do to cancel my H1B application in such a situation?
