Can someone shed some light on the following ? I am going for H1B application, but not sure if employer is giving client letter.

How important is client letter for H1B application ?
How risky is it to go ahead with H1B application without client letter ?
What is difference between SOW and Client letter ?

Please let me know if anyone has an idea.

It depends upon many factors, and especially how deep the interviewing officer wants to probe your job requirement. I would say that if you have many layers between you and the final client, then it is most likely that you would be asked to provide the client letter, also, if you working for a small company or a services company , you may be asked to provide it. To be on the safe side, carry it.
