Resume of the past H1 B remainder year

Hi,

I was in US from March 2008 – April 2011 on ( L1 B Visa) followed by H1 B from ( May 2011 – May 2015). I had to leave US due to (6 year stay rule of L1 + H1).
My question is, since now I have completed my cooling period.
Is it possible to re-enter/ apply using the past H1 B ?
or I have to apply for fresh H1 B cab in 2016 ?

You would need to get a new H1.
