  • Is Tech Writer/Editor job profile eligible for H-1B visa approval?

    Hey friends,

I am a Tech Writer/Editor with more than 2 years of professional work experience and a 4-years B. Tech (Computer Science Engineering) degree holder . I write about technology stuff like the newly launched gadgets, apps, smartphone reviews, news reporting, etc. As most of the tech stuff happen in the US and almost all the leading tech websites are American, I want to work for them. But I am not really sure whether a Tech Writer/Editor will get a US work visa? Is it a profile for which an employer would like to file an H1B visa application and if he does, what are chances of it getting approved by an American consulate?

Any help and guidance would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks for reading

    Hi there,

Thanks for sharing your background! As a Tech Writer/Editor with a solid technical degree and experience, you definitely have a profile that could interest US employers, especially in tech-focused companies. Many companies do file H1B petitions for roles that require specialized knowledge, and your combination of technical education and writing experience could qualify.
On a practical note, when preparing for US employment and understanding technical requirements for your role, I often refer to sites that provide detailed guides and manuals for technology and devices—for example, https://manuals.online/aluratek has a wide range of instructions that can be very handy if you’re working with different gadgets, software, or hardware setups as part of your writing or editing tasks.
