  • H4 Stamping

    Hi,

I will be moving to US for 1 Year on H1-B visa.

My wife is also accompanying me there. We had applied for her H4. And her stamping is in the next month. She is 9 Weeks pregnant. Now, she will be delivering the baby in the US.

I have some concerns abt her stamping -

What should she tell the consulate ask her about pregnancy? If she tells the consulate abt her pregnancy, will the consulate give her visa for 1 year?

If the consulate doesn't ask her abt pregnancy and she delivers a baby in the US, are there any implications of this? Will this be cross-checked when I will go on to register my child's birth?

    Regards - Sachin

      Hi Shrini,

      Thanks for the reply..

But, if the consulate asks her whether she is pregnant, then is it okay if she lies and says 'No'? Will this create problems afterwards in the US?

      Rgds - Sachin
