job change after I-140 approval

Hi Guys,

This is my first post. My I-140 got approved in February 2016. My priority date is in June 15. I don't have any pending I-1485. Can I change my employer at this time or do i have to wait for 6 months ?. I heard if we change employer within 6 months, you can't retain your priority date. Is it true in my case ? (no pending I-485) I am a consultant and getting full-time opportunities but don't know to move or not.

If I change my employer, my wife H4-EAD is still valid right ?. (until new I-140 approves)
