H1 B Question. Please help..

Hi all.. my friend got her visa (h1b) and landed in the US sometime in dec 2005. But she's not yet working nor is her payroll being run. And now she's getting all tensed up since its been 2 months that she has come to the US and still doesnot have her payroll running.

Is there a time limit before which she has to get her payroll running ? Please advice..
