question on H1 VISA

kindly advise on these questions

Currently on BL1 VISA, Applying for H1 through consultant for Oct 2006 qouta.

If H1 will get approval, will the status change happens immediately ?

or

Can I work on BL1 for some time, and change the status to H1 when I needed.

The status will be changed when u stamp ur next visa ,so u keep the interview date when u required the next visa to be stamped

Hi,

You mean to say that I need to go India and get the VISA stamped to work on H1.

I heared that there is no need to go back India and get the VISA stamped. We can change the status from L1 to H1 from US itself and start working.

Is this correct ?

If so will the staus change happen once the H1 is approved or do I need to apply again for status change after approval of H1 ?
