when can i enter us after getting H1 visa

hi

my question is when can i enter us after getting H1 visa


suppose i got visa in july but i can work onlyfrom oct 2006 ?

do i have to wait still oct 2006 ?and what abt the H1 stamp ,i beleave that the stamp will be valid from my visa attending date.so, that is going to count my H1 VISA TIME PERIOD ie 6 years even if i dont work for 6 months and so

if i can enter before and not allowed to work ? how is that possible because i will be on work visa ie H1 visa.

suppose if i have a visting visa valid that year and i go to visa stamping for H1 in july then my visiting visa will be gone? and H1 will be there ie any one should be there which ever has more time peroid ?or both can be there

Hi,
If you enter on your H1B visa, the immigration officers at the port of entry will let you into US only if you are within 10 days of Oct 1st. Therefore it is safe to enter close to the start date of your petition.
