  • Filing for a H3 visa - Need help with procedure I-129 and DS-160

    Hey!

My name is Lucas and I've just finished my master degree in architecture in Belgium, Europe.
Last week I've had the great new regarding the possibility of an internship in New York.
On the official site (https://travel.state.gov/contenthttp...-visas/en.html) I've found out that I will need to have a H3-visa in order to work legally in the US.

The first step (please correct me if I'm wrong) is to fill in the 'I-129' form which includes some information about me and my employer. In part 3 (Beneficiary information) of that form they ask me about my Alien registration number but I cannot find out where I'm able to request or find that number... (or do I leave it blank in my situation?)
I am also not sure where i need to file this form (probably by e-mail).

When this 'I-129' form is filed and accepted I will get a petition-number (right?) which I need to have for completing the 'DS-160' form online (https://ceac.state.gov/genniv).
One of the questions in the 'DS-160' is about my US address, where I will stay. Online I've found out that I first need to get a hotel for about 2 weeks and then search for an apartment so I can see what I will rent and cannot be scammed. So I don't know the exact address yet... Also the people in the US embassy in Belgium cannot give me a correct answer. "I cannot tell you what to fill in, but you need to fill it in...".

Am I missing some other things/forms I need to take care off?

Hope somebody can help me with me questions!

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Kind regards,

    Lucas
